More from last week

Here's another group finished in the same week as my other two posts.

These are 1/72 Russian WW2 infantry. Quite a few of them not pictured as well. I used Tamiya paint, which I like, on top of a watered down elmer's primer, which I did not.
Once again my "dip" is hit or miss, but I was experimenting a lot with these cheap plastic figures.
These are ostensibly for Dispsable Heroes, I could go 28mm metal but didn't want to go broke buying resin tanks, hence the cheaper plastics.

These look good for what they are, and considering they're my first batch of 1/72nd (I left some flash on), but I need to learn a new way to prime them, because watered down Elmers takes forever.

Romans

Some more things I've finished this week:

Some Romans, you can just barely make out two artillery crew in the background, there's two more not pictured as well as two artillery pieces. They actually came with three crew a piece, but it would mean two identical poses out of three crew on the base, and I thought that would look silly so only painted up two per piece.
These are legionnaires from Old Glory and the artillery is from.... Essex maybe? I don't remember.

These came out okay. My "dip" needs work (future floor polish and ink and or paint), I still haven't got the ratio right. Some of my Malifaux from last post are a little darker than they should be. I still need to base them, of course, but that's a quick job.

Status

Decided to start a blog, mainly just so I have a place to post my miniature painting for feedback and so when I ask for help I can point to pictures I post in here. I like a series of painting posts, from bare metal to finished mini, so that's what I plan on doing.

To get us started, here's some pictures of something I've finished in the last week:

My Malifaux Vickie crew. The starter box plus a Gunslinger and three Ronin. I can't complain how they turned out, I obviously need some work in areas, but I'm happy with them. (I have 3 more starter boxes to work on, as well as a number of blisters)

I still need to base them, but I want to wait a bit before I do to give me some time to practice basing other, less important minis.
